Is this a glitch? Although I have used this once before I am now back attempting to create a new song. Each time I go to click play nothing happens. Also, the sound library is not loading at all.

Do you have the latest version of Hookpad loaded?
If you have the subscription version of Hookpad perhaps you can save the song to disk with File -> Save song to disk and send it to me in a private message so I can have a look at the song.
