When I hit the record button and begin playing the controller, I get no sound and nothing is input to the melody (or chords) section. I have tried this on both Google and Bing. When I click on Hookpad>MIDI settings, I get the message " To use real-time MIDI I/O you need to purchase Hookpad". I have the lifetime membership. What do I need to do to get Hookpad to recognize my device?
Here is a screen cap of as far as I’ve gotten… now Hookpad knows I’m signed in and sees my controller (BK492), but I’m still not getting sound or inputting notes or chords.
The screen cap is from Bing search engine, BTW. Google still doesn’t see my MIDI at all.
Hi, let’s try to figure this out together.
Let me try to rephrase your problem.
- When using Edge (in the screenshot) you can see your Midi Controller in the Midi settings but you can’t see any messages in the console when you’re playing anything?
- In Chrome browser your Midi controller isn’t shown in the Midi Settings?
I’m not sure about Edge but one thing you can try in Chrome is to check if your MIDI device is allowed on this site.
Make sure that "MIDI device control & reprogram is enabled. Then reload the site and try again.
Please let me know if this helped.
