I think it would be very helpful to be able to tag multiple artists in one song. As it currently stands, if a song has multiple artists we have to either…
- put the featured artists in the song title (which doesn’t work with limited characters)
- list all artists in the artist tag (which creates an entirely new artist tag)
- disregard featured artists altogether (which compromises accuracy)
For example, the song “Sweetest Pie” by Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa has two lead artists. It cannot be listed as “‘Sweetest Pie ft. Dua Lipa’ by Megan Thee Stallion” or “‘Sweetest Pie ft. Megan Thee Stallion’ by Dua Lipa”. As such, the artist tag is written as “Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa” which creates a separate tag from either artists’ other songs. This is inconvenient and messy, and I think it would be better if multiple artists could be separately tagged on one song, so the song could show up in all artists’ lists.
