Strange scale degree when making a normally minor chord major

It seems that there is no simple way to make a chord that is normally minor in a scale major and have it show up as a major form of the scale degree.

For instance, I noticed in: http://www.hooktheory.com/theorytab/view/pixies/where-is-my-mind

It lists the G# as V/vi, but I think most people would think of it as a G#m turned major.

You could borrow the chord from major if it’s the tonic, but it’s better to do V/vi instead.

To make a major III chord in Hookpad, switch the tab’s mode to minor, borrow a V chord from major, and then switch the tab back to major.
