i am a vocalist who can’t play any instruments. new to this software so please forgive me if the question’s been asked elsewhere. is it possible to record voice into the software? or perhaps to record it in another application and import it.

We don’t have any voice support in Hookpad currently. The current intended workflow would be to get your chord progression/mix set up in Hookpad and then export that to Garageband, Logic, or some other recording software to complete the song. This is something we are considering for a future version though.
