My midi controller works fine in reaper and also using the online jazzplugin demo, but it’s hit or miss (mostly miss) with hookpad. I’ve only had it bang out a few notes a couple of times, and it would soon stop working. Most times it doesn’t work at all.
I’ve tried different browsers on mac (10.10.5) and I tried Chrome on Windows 7.
Same Problem here!
Hookpad is NOT working with my MidiKeyboard - i tried Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
The Jazz-Plugin is installed and working on their test- http://jazz-soft.net/demo/MidiInput.html
But not with Hookpad!
What can i do?
@xlr8r, I’m sorry you’re having problems with MIDI input. We appear to have a bug that is affecting a small number of users and we are working hard to figure out why this is happening. One helpful thing you could do is to go to our development site: dev.hooktheory.com/hookpad with username and password “demo”
If you open up your developer tools (chrome) or web inspector (safari) and try playing some notes, could you email the console output to support@hooktheory.com?
Looks like I can’t get MIDI input to work either. Safari 10, Mac OS X El Capitan, Jazz-plugin v.1.5 Using a Novation Launchkey (mk 1). Input doesn’t work in Hookpad nor at http://jazz-soft.net/demo/MidiInput.html. I tried using web inspector in the dev site, but there is no console chatter when I press keys.
If midi input is not working on the jazz-soft website then it seems to indicate that the plugin is not properly installed. As a workaround, you can try using Chrome, which has native midi support via the Web Midi API.
Have you calibrated the input ??? I was trying to connect with my iPhone but it did not work for me. You can also do it but you might get an iphone error 4005 like I got while doing the entire process.
