How to hold a chord for more than one beat

I’ve looked through the tutorials and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to do this.

Any time I make a chord last more than one beat it doesn’t hold it continuously, it replays it at every beat. How do you do this?

The default piano part plays that comping pattern. Try using the mixer to change the chord instrument away from piano using the BAND button.

Thank you so much I looked everywhere in the settings but didn’t think to check the instruments

I am sorry but still cannot figure out a solution to this issue…just want to write with block chords…then be able to change beats later after building my song…think I am following the right thread

At the moments it depends on the instrument you use. Some of our band instruments follow midi patterns with a length of one bar and some just have a specification to hit once per chord. So the first ones will repeat every bar and the second ones not.

I know that’s not optimal, but perhaps we’ll find a better solution…
