Sorry to ask something so basic, but in th key of C how would I enter an F/G slash chord?
(i.e. an F Major with a G bass)

Great question! In the key of C, a F/G chord functions as a V11 chord. You can get it by choosing a V chord and checking the 11 type from chord options.
