Can you use Hookpad offline in anyway?

@hooktheory I hope someone is here to answer this question? Can you use Hookpad offline in anyway?

Sort of, but it requires “pre-loading” everything while you do have internet. Here is a possible workflow.

While you have internet:

  1. Load Hookpad into a browser window
  2. Configure the mix tool with all of the instruments/samples you want to use (Hookpad will download all of them)

At this point you can turn off the internet and Hookpad will continue to work. There are a couple things you should be aware of:

  1. If you want to save your work, you will need to use the “save to disk” option. Saving to disk saves a “.hkt” file directly to your computer and does not require an internet connection. The .hkt file can then be loaded into Hookpad by clicking “Open” --> “Open from Disk”. The “save to disk” feature requires Hooktheory Plus.
  2. You will not be able to load any new instrument samples in mix.

I hope that helps.
