Can someone with Hookpad import this MIDI to see if it works?

I am trying to see if input of 32nd 64th 128th etc works by importing midi. Thanks.

I can open it with MuseScore, but not HookPad or the default midi player in Linux. There are several midi formats and some are not able to be ready by everything.

what happens if you open it in hookpad, just wondering.

It is inconsistent. Sometimes it doesn’t play. Sometimes it has some things doubled up. It never shows or plays the run.

anythng shorter than a 1/16 note is not likely to come out correctly, and once you touch the notes, they will re-combine to the minimum length.

Yes, the midi import works best when the midi has only notes which you would be able to write with Hookpad itself. This means the file should be monophonic and use only quantized notes that are not shorter than a sixteenth note.

The problem with the Beethoven midi-file was that it had a 1/4 time signature. The problem is that this crashes the playback engine as it can’t find any patterns with a 1/4 signature as we don’t have any. I was able to fix the problem by removing all unknown signatures during midi import. And I also removed the glitch were you could write polyphonic notes with a midi import. Now even after a polyphonic midi import, the melody is reduced to a strictly monophonic melody.

The fix will be live after the next push.

32nd notes would be great as an experimental feature if you have time to add it
