A setting to have MIDI export be unaffected by mix?

I’d like to have the chords be un-repeated/arpeggiated, and the notes played legato(-ish, meaning that they all end on the beat perfectly rather than a little bit before), just for ease of working with.

Probably the best you can do right now is save your current mix as a template and change the harmony to “piano” for exporting. That will give a single hit for the duration of the chord. Save that mix as a template (call, it simpleMix or something) and then you can easily switch back and forth as needed.
