In Book 2, Embellishments V11 chapter: In the example “Valentine” by Martina McBride there’s a secondary chord which the theory doesn’t cover. It’s the viiº7/V which should be half-diminished according to the secondary chord theory but instead appears as a fully diminished 7th. Why is this and what’s the theory behind?

hey @dpombo thanks for pointing this out, we changed the way Hookpad and Theorytabs interpret applied vii˚/x, namely that if you make a 7th chord, we make it fully diminished instead of half diminished. However, the tab in that example needs to be updated to reflect this. To get the correct chord you would now borrow a 4 chord from the lydian mode.
