Hi,
My students are having an issue with their youtube sync on their Lenovo PCs. When pressing the red play button, it only plays the attached video, and not the analysis. They have to separately press the yellow play button if they want to hear their analysis, which leads to sync issues. Any clues?
FYI, it works fine in my Macbook Air. The red play button starts both the video and the analysis.
Sincerely,
Uri
Hi, we’re sorry for that. Could you tell us what browsers you are using when experiencing that issue?
Regards!
Dennis
Both Edge and Chrome
Ok, thanks for the information. We wills if we can find something.
I’ve just been looking at this issue and I wanted to make sure I don’t misunderstand anything. When you’re talking about playing the analysis, are you talking about seeing the cursor move or actually hearing the playback with Hookpad’s instruments?
When pressing the red button, you should hear the audio coming from YouTube and the transport cursor in the analysis should move in sync. But you shouldn’t hear YouTube and Hookpad audio at the same time both playbacks are not in sync as they won’t have the same starting point. I added some code to make one playback stops when the other one starts to avoid having both playbacks unsynced at the same time.
So if playing both doesn’t work, it’s intentional, but if you won’t see the cursor move in the analysis when playing from YouTube then there might be a bug somewhere.
Please let me know which of those scenarios was the problem.
Regards!
Dennis
