I used to get lead sheets with the music notation, and it was really helpful. Is it a bug or is it supposed to be this way? I just get a mess of chord names. The score notation is fine.
if you don’t have anything in the melody (aka “lead”) section, it only outputs the chords. as i use the melody to drive VI in my DAW which only [mostly] need a root note, i simply add the root notes of the chords in the melody voice (and mute if desired for the wav export). and then you’ll get the notation. plus in the MIDI export the root note to drive VI like pads, guitars w/ patterns etc.
Lead sheet export should only display the melody and some chords. If your harmony and bass instruments notated as well, you can use the score export.
