Is hookpad just a webpage?

I thought I was paying for a program but instead it seems to be just a webpage. Is there no download?

You can install it as a partially offline app. I find it’s exceptional for what it does, namely, quickly getting a melody and chord progression down after it pops into your head. You can try the free version or just a month of it to see how you like it.

Hookpad is a Progressive Web App, which means that you can use it in the browser, or you can download it and use it offline. Sound files for instrument patches are automatically cached so that they don’t need to be re-downloaded.

Most of Hookpad’s features are free to use, so I would encourage you to try it out and see what you think.
