This has just started in the last couple days, but I am getting “static” when the song is played back.
Hookpad is fairly demanding so if you have lots of other tabs open in the browser or other apps doing things, it can struggle if your computer is low on ram or cpu. Does the problem get better if you quit all your other applications and restart the computer?

I suspect that may have been the problem. I didn’t notice that I had other apps running, but could have. I have noticed that when I download an mp3 file, I can not use the computer for other things, otherwise the mp3 file gets corrupted with static/noise … so what you said makes sense, and I’ll be careful to only run HookPad by itself.
