Hookpad does not load past version screen

Hello!

Hookpad will not load past the version screen on both Safari and Chrome. I had this issue a few days ago as well and it is still happening. I tried holding “Shift” while reloading as suggested in another thread from a few years ago, did not work in either case.

I am on a MacBook Air running macOS Monterey 12.7.6
Safari Version 17.6 (17618.3.11.11.7, 17618)
Chrome Version 133.0.6943.99 (Official Build) (x86_64)

I’m sorry for your troubles. Which version does the screen show?
I have the same problem on my iPad right now. I guess there are some problems with the cached files not getting updated correctly. I’ll ask around how to fix this.
In the meantime, one thing you can try is using the incognito/private mode of your browser. This should force Hookpad to load a fresh version.

Thank you for your reply Dennis! I tried loading it in private mode and it works that way. The version is showing as 2.32.9 when it does not load. I just checked what version is in private mode and it is 2.34.3.

another update: I was able to empty the cache in Safari and it is now loading properly in regular mode and with the latest version 2.34.3!! I appreciate your help!

I talked to the team and apparently the browser can’t fetch updated files when there are multiple instances of Hookpad opened at the same time as it would then “destroy” a page which is opened but not reloaded.

So you should also make sure you have opened just one instance of Hookpad when a new update has been pushed.
