Anyone agree? I prefer buying Aria one time fees. AI technology everywhere and keeps advancing, I will be very curious how many people are buying Aria monthly fees. Don’t get me wrong I loved the whole concept of hook theory and hook pad. I used it all the the time and enjoyed it very much. But I am not interested in paying monthly fees. I prefer one time fees.I would love to hear anyone out there agreeing with me.A lot of companies offer more choices to choose either monthly fees or one time fees. Otherwise you are eliminating all the people who are interested in buying one time fees. I think that would be better for some consumers like me.
I don’t work for free and don’t expect others to either.
If they are paying $60K a year, it would take 1000 subscriptions to support each developer not counting all the other costs involved.
I don’t participate in any subscriptions on principle but at this point, it is basically funding development.
Free use of “AI” tools is so common at the moment because it seems many companies are willing to absorb absurd losses in order to try to build hype, which can improve their chances at a good return on an investment. Regardless, generative models still require powerful computers to handle user queries.
I would think a one time fee would only make sense if you were hosting/providing the resources for the generative computing features. (Personally, I would consider paying a license fee to self-host in future when the product is out of beta, but it seems unlikely to be offered.)
