I’m trying to export my ENTIRE song as a MIDI file from HookTheory to Bandlab. It is only exporting the first 43 measures of my song. All tracks are there, but only 43 measures of them. How do I get the WHOLE SONG?
quick check using 2.32.8 - a song with 79 measures exported MIDI (all bands) = OK, exported MIDI (piano only) = OK – all measures show up in my DAW as expected.
check to see if there are blank sections / measures at the end? i have some projects where it auto extended and in my browser the song appeared to be 105 measures, but only showed 97 in my DAW…
There were 4 blank sections at the end, so I deleted them and tried again. Still no luck. It always cuts off after the bridge, so I thought it might have something to do with that. I’ve tried it on my desktop and my tablet, and it’s always the same cutoff point. I’m using the browser version instead of the app (on my tablet). Thanks for the help, though!
Hi, I’m sorry for your troubles. Could you please pm me the name of the song you’re trying to export so I can have a look at what’s going on?
Regards!
Dennis
How many instruments are there total? You might be hitting the 16 track limit on the free Bandlab.
This is a screen cap of my band settings. I had a monthly subscription to Bandlab at the time I wrote this (I recently upgraded to the lifetime subscription, but that was after encountering this problem.) So I never had a free subscription. As you can see, I only have 6 tracks of instruments, including the melody lead, which seems to be causing the problem.
Hi and sorry for the late reply. I had a summer vacation for a couple of days. I’m just looking into your song and I was able to import the complete song into Studio One. But I noticed that the individual MIDI tracks are having different lengths, each of them is ending after its last note.
Perhaps this is something BandLab can’t handle properly. Are you getting multiple tracks or just one when you’re importing the file into BandLab?
