Chords visualization matching

Hello there I am relatively to music theory and have been trying to get a better grasp by following along and looking at a few of my favorite songs. This has led me to a bit of a roadblock and wanted to test my assertions.

I have been playing along with Look at the Sky by Porter Robinson hooktheory link I noticed within the Intro it is noted that there is the chord ii (g#m) as this is in the F# maj scale. When looking at the keys played I can see they are different to what is noted on other sites describing this chord. key of F sharp reference. I notice that it appears to be in a different vertical arrangement which is understand to be a different voicing of the chord. Additionally the G# is also played an octive down as well.
Given this my questions are from the Hookpad chords tab how am I meant to infer the voicing of the chord and any additional keys played.

Thank you in advance.

A g#m chord is comprised of the notes G#, B and D#. You can organize these notes in any order and repeat notes as often as you want - it will always be a g#m as long as the lowest note remains G#. The specific voicing on the page you linked is just the most basic way to play g#m.

Also note that the voicings that are displayed on the Hooktheory Database are standard Hookpad voicings and not representative of the voicings used in the actual song.
