Change nominal mode without changing absolute key?

So I just recreated the intro section of “Wire” by U2, which uses a lot of modal mixture between minor/Dorian and Mixolydian. The song is primarily in E Mixolydian, so I was stupid enough to initially set the scale and mode to E Mixolydian before actually editing, even though the intro section is actually in E minor/Dorian.

However, I forgot to change the mode from Mixolydian to minor before publishing the intro, so I made an edit afterwards to do just that, after selecting “Relative (preserve note pitches)”, but now it says the intro is in F# minor rather than E minor. I’d really like to be able to simply change only the mode nominally, without this either affecting the notes (which just messes up the song), changing the absolute key or transposing the pitch.

Currently, if I select “Parallel (preserve scale degrees)” and then change the key from F# minor to E minor, it just transposes the song from E minor to D minor. If I select “Relative (preserve note pitches)” to change it back to E Mixolydian again, then select "Parallel (preserve scale degrees), and then change the song from E Mixolydian to E minor, it messes up the entire melody and chords to “fit” the song into E minor, because Hookpad thinks the song is either in E mixolydian or F# minor.

This is very difficult to explain clearly, so I hope you guys understand what I’m trying to get at.
