Is it possible that when I play a song with the band browser open, the band browser follows the song. So that I can simultaneously see and hear what changes in the instrumentation as the song progresses. So I don’t have to stop the playing of the song to click in the beat where the new band starts.
Thanks for your answer
Hi and thank you for your question!
At the moment the band follows the position of the selection cursor (the blue one) and not the transport cursor. The reason for this is that it would be weird to have the band change automatically to the next one when you’re just trying to do changes to the last one. But you don’t have to stop the playback, to change the band view. Just click anywhere in your score during playback and the cursor will be moved and with that the selected band will be changed.
I have to think if there can be some kind of automatic follow feature that turns itself off if you are making changes to a band that’s currently visible. Might be tricky to get that right as there also has to be some logic about what to do when you stop the playback etc.
Perhaps this could be achieved with a setting for the selection cursor to follow the transport cursor. This could also mean that you could start with the playback from where you stopped, just like in a DAW. Perhaps this would be worth investigating.
