I was playing with the new rhythms and noticed an odd bug. In 6,9,and 12 beats per measure, the rhythms are not coming out right. 1/2 beat rhythms are coming out fine but the 1/4 beat rhythms are coming out at one beat.
Thank you for the bug report. I think there’s something strange happening. If you change the beat from 1 to 3 you get a different rhythm.
Is the problem you’re describing?

Yes, I programmed those patterns like, this. Not really sure why. In general the 6,9 and 12 patterns are a bit of a mess. Some of the patterns are written in 6/4, some are more 6/8 and some are even like a 12/16 feel. I have to clean that up and make sure to distinguish between a beat unit of 1 and a beat unit of three. But this means I have to write lots of pattern files so I didn’t get to it yet.
Anyway, you’re totally right, the 1/4 arpeggio patterns are definitely wrong, even from a beat unit of 3 perspective. I’ll fix them soon.
Think about having another dialog like the mixing dialog where people could just create their own custom beat patterns. Yes, a lot would sound awful but it would take the pressure off trying to make a special pattern for all the permutations.
