Thank you so much for implementing this! Just this one checkbox makes the chord search tool so much more powerful!
The issue of redundant chord alterations has now been solved for augmented and half diminished chords, but there are still three more instances that I can think of where redundant chord alterations are leading to inaccurate search results.
The first one would be when minor chords are entered by sharpening the fifth of a diminished chord and the second one would be when major chords are entered by flattening the fifth of an augmented chord (relevant in Harmonic Minor and Phrygian Dominant).
The third one would be borrowed fully diminished seventh chords. These are always displayed with a flat in front of the seventh. I suppose that makes sense in cases where the diatonic chord on that scale degree is half diminished, but in any other case this is just extremely misleading.
Lastly I’ve noticed that sometimes the wrong set of chords is highlighted in the search results. I don’t know what causes this, but it might be related to the new checkbox as I haven’t encountered this bug before.
