Every 4 bars starting from the start of a line will have segment splitting. I don’t like it because it makes notes look like two and it makes lighted chords look weird
If several others agree, I can remove it. But it improves performance 2X since we have doubled the cache/memo density (for songs with 8 measures per line) by doing this. The reason the note light-up looks a little not perfect is we use a glow filter that bleeds a little at the vertical edges and the chord is actually drawn as two separate rectangles. I felt it was a worthwhile tradeoff.
